Four more test positive for swine flu in Chandigarh

Bhubaneswar/ Cuttack: Five more persons tested positive for Swine Flu on Thursday taking the total number to 18 in the last three days in the Odisha. They are undergoing treatment at city's government hospitals.Health officials said their condition is stable , As Reported By Hindustan Times.

There were no H1N1 patients in Matupi hospital, said a doctor.

The Epidemiology and Disease Control Division of Department of Health Services (EDCD) reported that the latest case was a 37-year-old woman who died this week in this capital. Their blood samples were sent to Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC) and swine flu was detected, doctors said.

He advised people to be vigilant and immediately visit health facilities if they felt that they might have contracted swine flu virus.

Special wards have been opened in all the medical college hospitals and Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar to handle swine flu cases while arrangements have been made also in district headquarter hospitals to provide healthcare for swine flu cases. The health department also issued dos and don'ts for general public and increased awareness drive to prevent the spread of Swine Flu.
