Shia LaBeouf's Mutt Williams will not be back for Indiana Jones 5

Shia LaBeouf's Mutt Williams will not be back for Indiana Jones 5

Unfortunately, that will not happen in the upcoming movie as Indiana Jones 5 screenwriter David Koepp told Entertainment Weekly that his script will be 100 percent Mutt-free.

Shia LaBeouf is not reprising his role in the new Indiana Jones film. "We're plugging away at it", he said of their work on the film. Speaking to Variety, LaBeouf said of Spielberg, "I grew up with this idea, if you got to Spielberg, that's where it is".

The film will be directed by Steven Spielberg who's now busy with the post-production works of his films The Post and Ready Player One.

Koepp was fairly tight-lipped on what the film would contain, but he did confirm that Harrison Ford is set to return as the world's most badass archaeology professor. After having starred in Crystal Skull, the actor told the Los Angeles Times that he felt as though he "dropped the ball on the legacy that people loved and cherished" and that Ford shared a similar view of the film.

IDBI moves SC to vacate stay on Jaypee insolvency
Around 32,000 buyers have booked flats across 27 different housing projects of Jaypee Infratech. Jaypee Infratech has defaulted on Rs526.11 crore of loans outstanding to IDBI Bank Ltd.

Koepp went on to talk about when they're going to begin production on the film and stated that they have a script that they're "mostly happy with".

Furthermore, it fits in with the rumours Indy 5 will help introduce a successor to Ford's character; Mutt was hinted at fulfilling just such a role at the end of Crystal Skull, where Indy's hat is seen flying in the breeze and landing at Mutt's feet, but that's clearly off the table now.

Seven years prior to this news, according to Collider, LaBeouf revealed in a bombshell interview he gave to one publication that he was not that happy with his performance in "Crystal Skull". "As an actor, I think it's my obligation to support the film without making a complete ass of myself". Still riding high after his back-to-back performances in Transformers, LaBeouf was arguably one of the most sought-after rising stars of 2008, before his name was mired in controversy following a string of public meltdowns and altercations. "You're meeting a different Spielberg, who is in a different stage in his career".

As "Indiana Jones 5" moves along, LaBeouf isn't the only Indy veteran not involved in the sequel. Even now the character is better known as "Shia LaBeouf's character" than by his actual name-even though it was stitched on his jacket.
