Singapore GP to remain in Formula 1 Worlds until 2021

With ideal timing, the medium-term future of the popular night race has been secured, with a contract being signed for at least four more editions of the Marina Bay Street Circuit race.

At the on going Singapore Grand Prix, Liberty Media boss, Chase Carey said, "India is a country that certainly has great potential and as we go forward, we will continue to study".

Practice for the 10th staging of the grand prix begins on Friday.

The new deal backed up Carey's words at the All That Matters industry conference in downtown Singapore this week. "But there are places around the world that present us with great opportunities for us to grow the sport overtime and certainly a country like India with the success and the growth it has had in recent years, makes it an exciting opportunity down the road".

And the Singapore Tourism Board were also more than happy to promote their city by night.

'How to burn Jews' Facebook group suggested to advertisers by algorithm
After ProPublica informed Facebook about their system, the company then pulled out several anti-Semitic ad categories. Both the social network and the advertising platform will have to deal with this more head-on going forward.

Despite the Marina Bay circuit being one of the most hard tracks, Williams head to Singapore hoping for a "good result" under the lights.

From next year, Singapore will be the sole stop that Formula One makes in Southeast Asia, as next month's Malaysian Grand Prix is to be the last.

Carey called the race "most thrilling" as debuted in 2008, Singapore GP is the first ever night Grand Prix and one of the most attractive races.

The drivers head into the weekend with Lewis Hamilton leading the championship for the first time this year, although he is only three points ahead of nearest rival Sebastian Vettel, with the German having won four of the nine races in Singapore.
