South Park Is Avoiding Trump, but Still Hasn't Learned Its Lesson

"Who else's Alexa's keep going off every time Cartman says something on the Alexa during this South Park episode??".

However, there were mixed reactions from the previous season, which had one storyline progressing throughout: the American presidential election. Exhausted of triggering people who bother to care about things, South Park instead triggered everyone's Amazon Echo home speakers. White nationalism is a subject that Parker and Stone could have worked wonders with - instead, they just dusted off the "they took our jobs" crew and had them marching down the street waving Confederate flags. Not only did we find out exactly why those white supremacists are so angry - calling back to the images from Charlottesville without actually trivializing any of it - they managed to roll Google, Amazon, and other tech companies into the mix as the boogeyman causing trouble for everybody this episode. In fact, Amazon replaces many low-wage jobs with technology, especially in their delivery services.

South Park has had its share of spectacular and awful episodes. Called "White People Renovating Houses", the new episode focused primarily on the white nationalist movement plaguing the United States.

The episode ends with Randy encouraging the white supremacist leader to tear down his walls in a clunky metaphor, which results in an "open-plan" makeover in his house.

That being said, the connection is anticlimactic if not absurd.

The protest collides with Randy Marsh's attempt to get a new home makeover show, White People Renovating Houses, off the ground.

Why the Bitcoin price just crashed
Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon called the cryptocurrency a fraud that was "worse than the tulip bulbs" and that "won't end well". Cryptocurrency is a new market, and governments are still struggling to figure out how to regulate this new store of value.

So Randy proposes a solution: "There's been a lot of hurt here; hurt from both sides!" he says, echoing President Donald Trump's infamous take on the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August. "That was part of the bummer for us about (the previous) season; we didn't want to make it a big Trump thing, and we kept thinking it was going to go away and we didn't want to get caught up in just being a political show". But to be fair, they did create a moment where Randy responds to a racist diatribe with a simple "what the ****".

On September 13, South Park kicked off its 21st season.

On the show, Amazon Alexa and Google Home units are featured.

Furthermore, there were plenty of other subplots in the show that couldn't be addressed in this article, but were amusing nonetheless.

Many viewers took to Twitter to share their South Park viewing experiences.
