Aguero scores hat-trick in Manchester City's 6 - 0 win over Watford

City are now second in the Premier League, behind Manchester United only on goal difference.

Against no side have Manchester City gone more games without facing their first defeat than Watford, joint with Sheffield United.

Speaking after the game, Aguero was typically nonchalant after another deadly display of finishing.

Whilst Sergio Aguero completed his hat-trick with a stunning fifth goal of the game.

Aguero notched his treble with nine minutes left, collecting the ball from Kyle Walker and skipping past a couple of challenges before scoring.

Richarlison had the first decent chance of the game but with City guilty of some bad defending, the Watford star sent a free header wide.

"Of course (he comes into contention)", Silva said of the 26-year-old who arrived on a season-long loan from Italy's Udinese and has not played for Watford yet. Jesus has scored three goals in four Premier League starts.

City have notched up three more goals than the Hornets thus far and the forward partnership of Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus is proving fruitful early on.

The Hornets have picked up victories on the road at Bournemouth and Southampton but they are still searching for their first league win at home this season. I am learning a lot from them and I hope I can learn much more. They have to know - he has to know, the family has to know and especially the managers [Sancho's advisors] have to know - we had a lot of confidence in him.

Aguero then delivered an incredible run into the box and then rolled the ball past Gomes for a fifth, before Raheem Sterling dusted himself down after winning a penalty to make it six. Through four fixtures, they have three wins and a draw. Last season, they all had to work out the kinks as they transitioned into Pep Guardiola's system.

With the score still 0-0, Sterling was also the recipient of a delicious through ball from De Bruyne and a goal seemed certain before Kabasele made an excellent last-ditch intervention.

One player who is expected to play is Vincent Kompany, the City skipper having missed the last two matches through injury.

"Watford is just two points behind us", he added.

"The first goal is offside, the second goal we made a big mistake for them to create a goal and again the third goal is offside".
