Jerry Sandusky's son Jeffrey pleads guilty to 14 child sex abuse charges

One of the sons of former Penn State football assistant coach Jerry Sandusky has pleaded guilty to 14 counts of child sexual abuse in Centre County, Pa.

The case came to light after a girl told her father Sandusky had repeatedly sent her text messages requesting she send him nude photos of herself.

The 41-year-old Sandusky was charged with solicitation to commit statutory sexual assault, solicitation to commit involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, two counts of solicitation to commit sexual abuse of children, two counts of solicitation to photograph, videotape, depict on computer, or film sexual acts, six counts of unlawful contact with a minor and two counts of corruption of minors.

The terms of the plea mandate that Sandusky serve 3-6 years in prison, but he could be jailed for up to eight years.

Jeffrey's dad, Jerry, is still in prison doing a 30-to-60-year stretch after being convicted of 45 counts of child sex abuse back in 2012.

Alex Colome received his 6th blown save of the season, while Austin Pruitt took the loss to fall to 7-5 this season. Deven Marrero added two RBIs with a double, while Xander Bogaerts went 4 for 7 with two RBIs.

Centre County District Attorney Stacy Parks Miller said the plea deal ensures the victims don't suffer additional trauma by testifying at the trial.

He regularly attended his father's court proceedings alongside his mother, Dottie Sandusky, who also has consistently supported her husband and fought to clear his name. After the father reported this to police, an investigation uncovered another girl who said Sandusky tried to get her to have oral sex with him.

The girl told police the texts made her uncomfortable and that "he kept pressuring me and asked me multiple times not to show the texts to anyone", police said.

The victims were 15 and 16 years old at the time of the incidents, which were several years apart, police said. The reports states he told the teen "that it's not weird because he studied medicine".
