Local Dreamers react to Nancy Pelosi's plan with President to fix DACA

For Simmons and others, reports that Trump had cut some sort of deal on immigration - one that apparently did not include funding for a border wall - over a cozy White House dinner with House minority leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer raised a red flag.

Trump's comment is contradictory to the Twitter messages he wrote in the early hours of Thursday when he said "no deal was made last night at DACA".

The White House quickly rejected that statement, saying that while border security and DACA were discussed, the president didn't agree to exclude funding for the border wall from the package. However, Trump posted a tweet in which he denied that a deal had been made. The idea of the "the wall" - i.e. a new, sizable barrier along the Mexican-American border, which was a key promise of Trump's campaign - has gained increased relevance as the president appears to negotiate his way towards saving DACA.

Trump later that morning told reporters that he is "fairly close" to brokering a deal that would protect DACA beneficiaries as well as beef up border security. She even titled a chapter in her Trump-devoted book, "I Don't Care What They Say, I Won't Stay in a World Without Trump".

"He gets to Florida and he says, 'Without the wall, there is nothing.' I'm confused".

Fifteen states are reportedly looking to sue Trump over the decision to dismantle the programme.

Barletta said addressing the DACA program's fate will give legislators an opportunity both to address the overdue issue of illegal immigration and also show compassion toward those who were brought to the country through no fault of their own.

An additional estimated 17,000 individuals from India and 6,000 Pakistan respectively are eligible for DACA, placing India in the top ten countries for DACA eligibility, it said. President Trump, as usual, only read this description as far as "created by President Obama", or maybe "allows undocumented immigrants", which is why his administration formally announced the termination of the program earlier this month.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Savagely Respond to Breakup Rumors
Four years to the day since Chrissy Teigen and John Legend tied the knot in a romantic Lake Como ceremony, these lovebirds seem more smitten than ever.

None of this makes even the tiniest bit of sense, but I will try mightily to make some of it nonetheless.

"As with everything else with Trump, one never knows from moment to moment where he is going to be", said U.S. Rep.

"We agreed that the President would support enshrining DACA protections into law, and encourage the House and Senate to act", the Democratic leaders said.

"We're right now renovating large sections of wall, massive sections, making it brand new", he said.

The growing anger of poor white Americans over migrant workers, whom they blame for "stealing" jobs, helped propel Trump into White House.

"We're not interested in not resolving that issue - we want a clear legislative solution so we don't have to be kicking the can down the road", Sanchez said.

Representative Linda Sanchez, a Democrat from California who leads the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, said Schumer and Pelosi had insisted on the DREAM Act as part of negotiations, "not something that's a half-measure, like the Curbelo bill".

"Well, many Republicans really like it", the President said about DACA.
