West Michigan community holds vigil for Las Vegas shooting victims

At the start of the vigil, Esten likened the country community to that of a family.

Trying to understand what happened in Las Vegas is hard enough for an adult to comprehend.

"Instead of being so divided, just being more together because in all honesty, I feel like division is our biggest problem in this country", Valentine says. In Las Vegas, buildings on the Las Vegas Strip dimmed their lights; in New York City, both the Empire State Building and One World Trade Center were darkened and displayed a single orange band; and in Paris, the Eiffel Tower went dark as well.

The 49-year-old entertainer took part in a vigil on Monday night (October 2) in Nashville, Tenn. The final performance of the evening was Alison Krauss' moving, a capella version of "Amazing Grace".
