Following Beta, DICE Discusses Star Wars Battlefront II's Loot Box System

Battlefront II will give away things like maps and character DLC for free, but it will use a loot box-style system for unlocking various upgrades that has fans concerned.

On loot crates and progressions, they want to point out that many "things" can be earned in-game such as weapons, attachments, credits, Star Cards, Emotes, Outfits and Victory Poses.

The Star Wars Battlefront II beta offered no other way to progress in multiplayer aside from loot boxes. We recently discussed how Battlefront II's microtransactions work and why they are a big problem, but developer DICE has now spoken out to try to assuage fears that the game will be pay-to-win.

For the most powerful items, they are working to make those only obtainable via in-game achievements.

Furthermore, like in most EA and DICE games, your profile from a beta to the full game carries over, meaning that if you have the best of the best gear you will always have an advantage in the full version.

To sum up the above, DICE is shipping a $59.99 game that will be tuned over time - even though it's a sequel to the 2015 outing - but they managed to add in a feature in the game that's a month out from release (although it's still now in "beta"), and they claim that it's not complete? Below you'll find what they listed on their blog.

Michael Jordan on National Basketball Association parity: 28 teams 'are going to be garbage'
In 2016, shortly after Durant went to Golden State, he said , "I don't think it's good for the league, just to be really clear". "I think it's going to hurt the overall aspect of the league from a competitive standpoint", Jordan told Cigar Aficionado .

Crates are obtained by completing challenges "and other gameplay milestones" or by purchasing them-either with credits earned in-game or real-world money.

Crates will include Star Cards, Outfits, Emotes or Victory Poses. "You have to earn the right to be able to upgrade Star Cards and unlock most weapons", it explained.

Just like many of you, we've been playing the Star Wars Battlefront 2 beta over the last few days.

Star Cards impact gameplay and are players' major concern.

The standard edition of Battlefront 2 releases on November 17 and includes all of the core game features, including a cinematic campaign and a full suite of online and offline multiplayer modes.

We are also looking into more ways to allow players to stay and play together as a team - for launch, we'll have a new feature for you that rewards all players in a spawn wave. We're reminded that the beta was just "a small piece of what [they're] making" and that EA is "continuing to listen to [players] coming out of the beta".
