Marvel Studios planning an official timeline to the MCU

Though fans definitely wouldn't want to miss out on watching Marvel end San Diego Comic-Con each year with a big bang, noting how the Star Wars franchise manages to hop across many different events with only a couple of big films to promote each year shows that Marvel would be more than capable of doing the same given that the studio is now releasing three movies per year. What was not highly considered thanks to Marvel's involvement was Homecoming messing up the MCU timeline, but it sure seemed like it did. But, really, it is all good stories. Feige admits that they were taken aback by the confusion and obsession over the timeline, so much so that they are planning on releasing an official timeline in the near future which will make things clear.

We, and many other curious fans, have attempted to connect the dots to understand the current MCU timeline - including in our breakdown of how things may shake out - and so we went into our interview with the mastermind of the timeline himself today. How is this all working out timeline wise? We'll just have to wait until Captain Marvel hits theaters in 2019 to find out.

"All of that debate has encouraged us".

This isn't the first time that Marvel is going to release an official timeline, either.

It is, in any case, the goal clearly admitted d'Avengers: Infinity War and its sequel, for now without title official, as to collect all this handsome world in a very big adventure to reset the counters to zero.

Following Beta, DICE Discusses Star Wars Battlefront II's Loot Box System
The Star Wars Battlefront II beta offered no other way to progress in multiplayer aside from loot boxes. For the most powerful items, they are working to make those only obtainable via in-game achievements.

Yeah, I think some of that has been blown out of proportion.

In the ten years that Marvel Studios kick-started their interconnected franchise, they have close to 20 films under its banner apart from few others waiting in the queue.

Feige didn't expand on when the timeline would be released or just how detailed it would get, but we'll finally get an answer to the age old question: what year, exactly, does Spider-Man: Homecoming take place in? "And we are focusing on bringing, by that point, an unprecedented, 22-movie, continuous shared fictional narrative to a conclusion in a satisfying way".

Still, while the original incarnation of the MCU may change, it's not going away.
