No Question of Corruption in Jay's Company: Amit Shah

He said that the question of corruption does not arise since no government land or contract was involved in the business being conducted by his son Jay. They also claimed that financial situation of state has considerably improved under Pema Khandu led government. Bringing the major political scandal during Congress rule, he pointed that his son didn't "received kickbacks like in the case of Bofors".

Jay Shah's company has allegedly recorded a turnover of Rs 80.5 crore in 2015-16.

Although the call for a probe came with strings attached, it stood out in contrast to the outright manner in which several BJP ministers and leaders had readily given a clean chit to Jay Amitbhai Shah and attacked the news portal, The Wire, that carried the report.

"Please understand this is not corruption".

Later, BJP rejected all allegations and warned the writer and editors of the portal saying they would file a defamation case against them of Rs 100 crore. Did it ever file a civil suit or defamation suit? No.

Tottenham manager angry with Pep Guardiola comment
We want you to tell us who and, be a good egg, don't spoil the answer for anybody else. Plus a little video from the press conference. "I'm sure I will reply", he added.

"Even after facing so many corruption charges, Congress never filed a defamation suit but Jay has filed one..." "The business was of commodity trade which is high value low profit venture. If a company's turnover becomes Rs 1 crore, its profit does not become Rs 1 crore. It is unfair to say there was an over 16,000 times jump in profit.say what the turnover was.It makes it seem like the turnover was huge but it wasn't". All the payments were made through cheques.

"Businessman Jay Shah filed a criminal defamation case in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, against reporter Rohini Singh and Siddharth Varadarajan, Sidharth Bhatia and MK Venu, editors of the news portal for the report "The Golden Touch of Jay Amit Shah" highlighting a dramatic increase in some of his businesses since Narendra Modi became Prime Minister".

After other leaders in the BJP defended Jay Amit Shah, it was now the turn of his father Amit Shah to come to his defense.

BJP's ideological parent, RSS had made its stand clear in the controversy on Thursday that an inquiry should only be held if prima-facie evidence was present.
