Now You Can Order Food Through the Facebook App

Look for your dining options by going to the Explore menu (the three-line hamburger menu on the lower right corner of the screen on the app) or on Facebook.com and choosing the Order Food option.

Instead, the company is partnering with existing services Delivery.com, DoorDash, ChowNow, Zuppler, EatStreet, Slice, and Olo - not Seamless - and will now link out to those food ordering businesses for restaurants that support them. But it's not at all what you might think; Facebook hasn't created its own answer to Seamless, which would be massive news for the restaurant industry. "We're combining options from a number of restaurants and food ordering services, so you don't have to search through multiple places and eat what you want, in just a few taps", Alex Himel, vice present of the local team at Facebook, said in a release.

Facebook is also partnering directly with major restaurant chains like Chipotle, Five Guys, Jack in the Box, Papa John's, Wingstop, Panera, TGI Friday's, Denny's, El Pollo Loco, and Jimmy John's, with more sure to come in the near future.

If you don't have an account, you can sign up directly from the Facebook app. And not every restaurant with a Facebook page offers delivery, so you might still need to go pick up your order.

Sharapova downs Linette to reach Tianjin quarters
She saw off 71st-ranked Linette in just over 98 minutes to reach only her second quarter-final since her return to action. The former world number one bossed the second set, surging into a 4-0 lead as she wasted no time in dispatching Voegele.

"On this page, you can browse food options and select Start Order when you've found what you're looking for".

By tapping on a restaurant profile, you can find out if any of your Facebook friends have rated or visited it, helping you make a decision if you're on the fence about where to order.

"We've been testing this since a year ago, and after responding to feedback and adding more partners, we're rolling out everywhere in the USA on iOS, Android and desktop", Himel concludes.
