Patriots QB Tom Brady expected to play vs. Jets

The Patriots have opened the season with five consecutive non-divisional games, with their season oddly stacked to feature divisional games in five of the last six games of the year.

Tom Brady isn't 100 percent healthy.

The Patriots did not include Brady on last week's injury report, and they were not required to. The question now is - will Brady miss any time from the injury, which originally occurred against the Panthers and was re-aggravated last Thursday against the Buccaneers?

By video review, the second time Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers sacked Brady on October 1 could have caused a mild AC sprain on the left side. "I'll be there Sunday".

The way things have unfolded this year - with a season-ending knee injury to Julian Edelman, and then Malcolm Mitchell's troublesome knee landing him on injured reserve - it has thrust the 5-foot-11, 190-pound Amendola into more of a frontline role.

Brady said it would help if the Patriots could take command in a game, rather than having to battle back into contention or struggle to hold a lead, as has been the case thus far this season. The Jets have registered just seven sacks this season, the second worst mark in the NFL.

Trump lashes out at Puerto Rico as House passes aid package
Puerto Rico lost population and jobs after Congress eliminated special tax breaks in 2006, making it more hard to repay its debts. The House bill includes a one-time payment of $1.27 billion to help Puerto Rico receive access to the U.S.

Asked how he was doing after the game, Brady said he was fine.

Brady credited the score and game situations for the frequency New England has been in passing situations this year.

Brady says he'll be on the field Sunday to play the New York Jets in a fight for first place in the AFC East.

"This guy's like Father Time", defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers said.

"I think we're all trying to get on the same page", he said. "But it's something that we're going to have to keep challenging ourselves". The Patriots have not played well of late.

The Jets defense looks to hit Tom Brady the way they did with Jaguars QB Blake Bortles.
