Samsung to officially reveal Bixby 2.0 next week in San Francisco

According to reports, the South Korean smartphone and electronics products manufacturer will unveil the new version of the Bixby digital assistant during the company's developer conference that will be held in San Francisco on October 18.

Samsung recently appointed a new executive for the development of its voice assistant Bixby in a move to enhance the performance of the assistant which is facing a lackluster response from the market.

Reports also claimed that the Bixby development team will not be headed by Samsung Research America vice-chief Chung Eui-suk will now be leading the development of Bixby as well as the tech giant's other artificial intelligence service.

Before Chung joined Samsung in 2011, he worked for Ericsson and is credited for being the software expert behind Samsung Pay as well as the software security Knox.

Compounding the problem is Samsung's in-your-face attempt to get its customers to use Bixby, namely the dedicated button found on the Galaxy S8 phones. Of course, it also points out that the English version of Bixby was delayed for a couple of months.

SC refers Sabarimala temple's ban on women to Constitution Bench
This is the main reason for the dispute as women activists have questioned this as a clear practice of gender discrimination. The Kerala Government has already informed the court that it favours the entry of women of any age into Sabarimala temple.

Now the Korea Herald reports Samsung is set to release version 2.0 of Bixby, with significantly improved features.

Not a lot is known about Bixby 2.0 as of the moment, although it's being said that Samsung's take two on a virtual assistant would allow for integration with third-party products and services like smart TVs and speakers.

Samsung's annual developer conference will take place October 18-19.

Samsung's mobile business chief Koh Dong-jin admitted Bixby's room for improvement, saying, "We will supplement the incomplete parts of Bixby 1.0 at Bixby 2.0", at a local media conference for launching Galaxy Note 8. What would you like to see in Bixby 2.0? "Outside developers will participate in the development of Bixby 2.0 although they could not for Bixby 1.0 due to time shortage".
