Mindy Kaling Reveals She's Having A Baby Girl On 'Ellen'

Her "The Mindy Project" co-stars opened up about the actress's pregnancy while attending PalyFest Fall TV Preview back in September.

As far as the actual pregnancy, the Mindy Project star said that she's had "a pretty great time of it so far", but that she feels like she took a lot for granted during the first few months of her pregnancy. "Like now, I'm obsessed with sitting". Though there have been previous reports on Kaling having a daughter, this marks the fist time she's addressed the baby's sex publicly. "And at first it was like, okay, if anyone was going to announce big news about your private life, Oprah Winfrey is the person". "You can't complain that much about it", she told DeGeneres". Kaling, who portrays an OB-GYN, said that she found out her show got the green lit within the same hour that her mom, who was also an OB-GYN, died. "'What did you just say?' she said, 'Oh, Oprah, I don't think you know".

"I'm having a girl!" she announced on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" Friday.

In late July, the one and only Oprah Winfrey accidentally announced Kaling's pregnancy in an interview with People. "That lovely, comfy chair'".

No worries, though, because DeGeneres was to the rescue and her guest gift to Kaling was a tray of jelly donuts, including one giant one.

'Wear Purple Day' for domestic violence awareness is October 19
Organizers say a triple domestic violence homicide in Madison is still fresh in the minds of those attending. They will use their $10,000 towards domestic violence services to the community through shelter and support.

She also joked about how she's dealing with being pregnant for the first time.

However, as much as she loves sitting, she admits that it's the getting up part that's hard. "Counting on you to hoist me out of this chair".

"It felt like the show really helped me and trained me to kind of grow up and become a mom", she added.

She admitted, though, that while she loves a good sit, getting up can be challenging.
