Trailer Park Boys Star Dies

Dunsworth, beloved for his role as Jim Lahey on Trailer Park Boys passed away after an unexpected illness, his family confirmed.

The news that John Dunsworth is dead was posted over the internet on Monday evening.

John's daughter Sarah Dunsworth, who also acts on Trailer Park Boys, confirmed news of his death on Twitter, writing, "With heavy and broken hearts the family of John F. Dunsworth would like to let people know that our fantastic husband, father and grandfather John Dunsworth has passed away".

The Trailer Park Boys' official Twitter page said the cast of the series were "heartbroken" at the news of Dunsworth's passing.

The first legs for each tie will take place from November 9-11 with the second legs on November 12-14. Fernando Hierro, formerly of Real Madrid and Bolton Wanderers is set to carry out the draw itself.

Dunsworth, originally from Bridgewater, N.S., played Mr. Lahey on the Trailer Park Boys since the show began in 2001. Dunsworth also appeared in the 2002 movie Virginia's Run alongside Gabriel Byrne and Joanne Whalley as well a the Syfy series Haven, an adaption of the Stephen King novel The Colorado Kid.

On Monday, other Trailer Park Boys actors took to Twitter to pay tribute to Dunsworth. "Curious. Mischievous. Spirited. I'd often just stop and watch", Jonathan Torrens, who plays J-Roc in the show, wrote.

He further added that Dunsworth had a passion for acting which was only rivaled by his love for life and family.
