Microsoft confirms Surface Pro LTE will ship to businesses from December 1

Microsoft's Surface Pro with added LTE goodness is due to land in the United Kingdom on 1 December, just in time for enterprise punters to request one from the local Santas residing in their procurement and IT department.

Microsoft has announced a new version of the Surface Pro with LTE Advanced as well as announcing availability of Surface Book 2 for the UK.

Microsoft has revealed a new version of the Surface Pro with always-on internet capable of superfast downloads. Microsoft is using this LTE chipset, with 20 LTE bands, to ensure that anyone can buy this model of Surface Pro and have LTE work in any country around the world.

The Surface Pro LTE is powered by an Intel Core i5 CPU and is available in two versions, with 4GB RAM and a 128GB SSD, for $1,149, and with 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD, for $1,449.

Panos said on Tuesday that the smaller model will be available in the United Kingdom on 16 November, with the 15in model set to arrive early next year.

Today's Surface Pro LTE announcement comes after its initial unveiling back in May. People are working from their homes, on the go, in coffee shops, cars, you name it. Microsoft knows this, and believes LTE will help people stay productive on the go.
