Woman Charged With Burning Roomate's Ferret In Oven

Two of the apartment's tenants who were the pet's owners, told police a woman who had been staying with them, identified as Ivana Clifford, 26, had put the ferret in the oven.

WHDH reported police being called to the roommates' Manchester apartment circa 3am, Wednesday morning after receiving reports of smoke in the building. After firefighters evacuated the building, investigators traced the source of the fire to the oven, where the ferret was found "stuck to the bottom coil of the oven" with "linear burn marks on the side of its body that were consistent with the shape of the oven coil", court documents say. WHDH reports that Ivana Clifford, 26, was arrested on November 8 and accused of the heinous killing.

Clifford's roommate, Cara Murray, claimed that Clifford put the ferret, Angel, in the oven and turned on the heat.

"To lose a ferret, it's like losing a kid or family". Her bail was set at $10,000 after her arraignment at Hillsborough County Superior Court.

Murray says there was smoke pouring out of her even before they discovered that Angel was dead. "I just can't believe she did that".

Early Look at Jodie Whittaker as the New Doctor in 'Doctor Who'
Sharp-eyed fans will notice that the new Tardis - the contraption the Doctor uses to time-travel - is now missing the logo of St. It was announced in July that the Broadchurch star had been cast as the Doctor by new showrunner Chris Chibnall.

She said the loss of her 2-year-old ferret has been 'devastating'.

"She nips. She's a baby", Murray told NH1.

Judge Gillian Abramson told Clifford, "These allegations display a profound sense of sadism".

Clifford now remains held in custody on $10,000 bail. Murray said, "I don't understand why she would do such a thing".
