Brand-new 'Star Wars' trilogy to be created

Following today's bombshell announcement that Star Wars: The Last Jedi writer/director Rian Johnson is developing a completely separate and brand new trilogy of Star Wars movies, today also brings the news that the long-rumored live action Star Wars TV show is officially happening.

BuzzFeed News has reached out to Disney, which owns Lucasfilm, for comment.

Last but not least is the upcoming single-player content dubbed The Last Jedi season, which introduces a new mission to the game.

Release dates for the new films have not been revealed at this time.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 won't be out for another week-November 17-but the Play First trial on Origin Access is available right now.

New low-priced device developed to boost wireless signal strength
The team successfully analyzed the space in a room and created a custom reflector that could improve Wi-Fi signals inside it. The team also developed an approach to simulating how radio signals spread and interact with objects in their environment.

"We´ve got more great ´Star Wars´ movies already planned for years to come in addition to the 2019 release of Episode 9", Iger said. "He's a creative force, and watching him craft 'The Last Jedi" from start to finish was one of the great joys of my career.

The news does make me wonder what the longterm future of the Star Wars Story movies is, now; to date, the two that audiences know of have had hard births, which might make Lucasfilm reconsider the original plan of releasing one every two years - especially if this new trilogy might want to take that slot in the release schedule, instead.

Johnson will write and direct the first film in the trilogy, working with his producing partner Ram Bergman.

Additionally, Iger mentioned that Disney's streaming service is working on TV adaptations of Pixar's 2001 film Monsters Inc., the Disney Channel series High School Musical, and an original series from Marvel. There are now no details known about the writers and producers behind the show, but we would happily suggest that Star Wars animation maven Dave Filoni get a chance to guide the new series.
