Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale sidelined with adductor injury

The Welsh global resumed team workouts at the end of last week after recovering from an injury suffered during the Blancos' 3-1 Champions League away win over Borussia Dortmund on September 26, reports Efe.

While we are not physio members, that certainly does not sound good and the Real Madrid statement claims that a timescale is pending.

The recovery period for such an injury is likely to be two to six weeks, which means Bale is nearly certainly out of the derby clash against Atletico Madrid on November 18.

That forward now plays in the Premier League and would no doubt be of the level of Gareth Bale or even higher. He's doing fine. He's just a little way off and that's why he didn't play tonight.

Bale has scored two goals in five league appearances for Real, who head into the game at Atletico in third position in La Liga, eight points behind league leaders Barcelona after 11 rounds played. After a blistering start to his career with Los Blancos, Bale's career has seen a decline, due to his several minor injuries and some major ones as well. He returned to action in February but the second part of the season was also hampered by a range of muscle problems.
