Apple iPhone X and the mysterious 'Green Line of Death'

Following that, new reports have emerged where some users are seeing a green line vertically across the display, while others are facing a crackling or buzzing sound from the phone's earpiece speaker.

The launch of the ultra-expensive iPhone X has come to a rocky start worldwide, after a number of users of the costly device have reported seeing a unusual, vertical line appearing on the screen of their new toy after just a few hours of normal usage.

Some iPhone X users are complaining about a couple of issues related to its Samsung-manufactured AMOLED display. According to customer comments on social media and Apple related chat forums, it seems that most of the buzzing occurs when playing any sort of audio through the device near maximum volume.

The GRAMMY victor thanked her fans on Twitter for their well wishes on Sunday morning, also expressing gratitude for her husband. The American Idol alum has since been released from the hospital, but her rep said the injury would "take some time" to heal.

Apple says it is aware of reports of the screen becoming temporarily unresponsive to touch after a rapid change to a cold environment. Hundreds of users on Reddit are warning that in cold temperatures, the device stops working. "After several seconds the screen will become fully responsive again", Apple said in a statement to CNET. Luckily, Apple do offer great support, and if you are experiencing the green line issue, or the sound issues, you can more than likely head on over to an Apple store and get a replacement free-of-charge. Some users have claimed that it does not go away when the phone is shut off or restored.

Apple is working on improving the iPhone X and the only way of doing that until a new iPhone is released is through the iOS 11 updates. But, a number of iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus users experienced a similar problem with static noise on their devices, and Apple fixed that with a simple firmware update. The update also fixes the issue posed by a bug disrupting the use of Siri, Apple's voice assistant.
