Xbox One X Outpaces PS4 Pro Launch Sales in the UK

After the release on November 7th, there is a lot of curiosity to find out how the powerful Xbox One X came out the first week on sale.

With the Xbox One having received very little in the way of exclusives this year, it's somewhat surprising that it has performed so well in the region. Achieving significant advancements in graphical processing power, the console debuted as the most powerful on the market, pushing 4K resolutions, HDR content and other visual enhancements.

Sales of the Xbox One X in its first week have matched those of the Nintendo Switch and beaten the PS4 Pro, new figures from the United Kingdom have revealed.

The recently-released Microsoft Xbox One X represents a refresh in the current console lineup, and is essentially Microsoft's answer to the Sony PS4 Pro. It took the PS4 Pro four weeks to reach the 80,000 mark, further highlighting the early success Microsoft's new console has had in the region. They seem to have got the start they wanted with the Xbox One X. It would be interesting to see how things go from here for Xbox One X.

Instant Analysis: Bucs hang on for a crucial win vs. Jets
The Jets would tie the game before halftime, marching down the field 51 yards for a 47-yard field goal by Chandler Catanzaro. Overall, the Jets defense didn't get off the field quick enough; they gave up two scoring drives lasting 7:56 and 7:25.

GamesIndustry.biz reports gamers were particularly attracted to the special Project Scorpio version, which made up the majority of the sales of the machine.

While the Xbox One X has been criticised for its first-party lineup and premium price tag, it appears this has detracted from the console's appeal - at least in the UK.

More than 70 games supported Xbox One X at launch, with that number set to increase each week.
