George HW Bush Has Been Grabbing Asses For Years

When the 16-year-old posed for a picture with Bush and her mother, she says the former president grabbed her ass.

Roslyn Corrigan said she met Bush at a November 2003 event in The Woodlands, Texas.

Corrigan says as the photo was being taken, Bush dropped his hand to her buttocks and squeezed.

Later that week, actor Jordana Grolnick told Deadspin that Bush did a similar thing to her while she was taking photographs with the former president in August 2016.

McGrath later noted that Bush is confined to a wheelchair and frequently has his arm lower on the waists of people when he takes photos. "Like, "Hey dude, you shouldn't have touched me like that"?" she asked.

That same week, author Christina Baker Kline wrote in Slate that Bush grabbed her behind her while posing for a photo with her husband in 2014.

Bush had joined Corrigan's father and other Central Intelligence Agency officers and their families at a reception at a CIA office in the Houston suburb - an office that, according to Dallas Morning News reporting, is unknown to local government and business officials. "To try to put people at ease, the president routinely tells the same joke - and on occasion, he has patted women's rears in what he meant to be a good-natured manner", said spokesman Jim McGrath in a statement.

"I was like, 'Oh my goodness, what just happened?'" Ms Corrigan said in an interview with Time.

The other five women who have accused Bush of nonconsensual touching all said the incidents occurred as they were posing for photos with him.

In late October, after several other women came forward with similar stories, Mr McGrath said that Mr Bush "on occasion, has patted women's rears in what he meant to be a good-natured manner".

On Nov. 2 Laura Bush told CNN that the allegations against her father-in-law were "very innocent incidents".

Bush was standing alongside Corrigan for the photo taken in 2003.

"No, I don't think that excuses it, and I don't think that explains it", she said.
