Tampa police investigating Seminole Heights shooting death

A man's body was found early Tuesday in the historic Seminole Heights neighborhood of Tampa, Florida, blocks away from where three people were recently slain, the Tampa Police Department said.

This comes just weeks after three people were shot and killed over a 10-day span in Seminole Heights. The murderer has not been caught.

Police have been boosting patrols in the area. The victim has been identified as 60-year-old Ronald Felton.

Officers say Mr Felton was crossing the street to meet someone when a gunman came up behind him and shot him.

- Another death occurred in southeast Seminole Heights, and police are actively searching for the suspect.

Seminole Heights is a working-class neighborhood northeast of downtown Tampa that's slowly becoming gentrified. The suspect was described as a "black male, thin build, dressed in all black, wearing a black baseball cap".

As per the reports, From 2015 Odisha and West Bengal indulge into the bitter fight over the GI registration of rosogolla. The Geographical Identification authorities ruled out today that it is Bengal where the popular rosogolla originated.

It's not known if Tuesday's homicide is connected to the three October murders, but a Tampa police spokesman told NBC News it will be treated that way until it is ruled out. They advise residents in the area to stay in their homes as they search for the suspect.

It only took police officers one minute to arrive at North Nebraska Avenue and East McBerry Street where they found a body.

Officers have saturated the area, and will be going door-to-door looking for witnesses as well.

Chief Dugan is asking residents who own guns to go in their homes and verify that their guns are still there, insinuating that the suspect may have stolen any weapons used in the killings. Some bus routes to Hillsborough High School and other schools in the area may be disrupted by the Tampa Police investigation.

Parents and staff can get to Edison Elementary from the area of 22nd Street and Osborne Avenue. If not, contact Tampa police immediately at 813-231-6130.
