Apple nudges out Xiaomi to retake global wearables lead

In terms of market share, Apple sits at the top with 23 per cent, followed by Xiaomi on 21 per cent and Fitbit on 20 per cent.

It is worth noting that Xiaomi and Fitbit primarily sell basic wearable, while Apple exclusively dominates the smartwatch category for now. He said that watch sales increased by 50 percent for the third consecutive quarter as people are more inclined toward health services. CCS Insight believes Apple could have sold more as Watch 3 only went on sale in the third week of September, about halfway through the Quarter, and supply was constrained.
