USA investor nears record 400-jet Airbus order

The Netherlands-based plane maker made the announcement Wednesday, following talks at the Dubai Air Show. Based on the list price of the A320neo, Airbus's best-selling single-aisle jet, the purchase would be worth at least $46.6 billion before customary discounts if Indigo exercises all of its rights to the aircraft.

The deal includes aircraft for Wizz Air, Frontier Airlines, Jetsmart and Mexico's Volaris.

The order, believed to be the biggest ever for Airbus, will more than double the value of the airline's sales for the year.

A spokesman for Airbus declined to comment, as did Indigo says Bloomberg.

"An order for 430 aircraft is remarkable, but it's particularly gratifying to all of us at Airbus when it comes from a group of airline professionals who know our products as well as the folks at Indigo Partners do".
