Amazon Prime Video finally reaches Apple TV

Apple promised that the Amazon Prime Video app was coming to the Apple TV earlier in the year.

It has now though.

While Amazon fights with Google over YouTube, it's own streaming service just got a big win. As you'd expect, it's much like the web, Roku and smart TV apps, letting you scroll and search films and TV series, select favorites, and more.

The 4K Apple TV costs £179 for a 32GB model, £199 for a version with 64GB of storage.

The Company will publish the audited 2017 consolidated financial statements when it is in a position to do so. It is not clear if these are the accounting irregularities the company was referring to in its statement.

Apple mistakenly leaked a story about the launch of Amazon Prime Video for the Apple TV, which was picked up by Reddit user studio1burbank.

At its Worldwide Developers Conference keynote on June 5th, Apple CEO Tim Cook announced the news re-confirming the app would be coming to Apple TV "later this year" with "a wealth of great content". Amazon is apparently looking to increase its viewing audience because rival Netflix is ramping up its efforts to bring more original content to its subscribers.

The new Prime Video app is now available to download for the Apple TV, you can find out more details about the app over at iTunes at the link below. The two companies famously fought over e-books and commissions from items purchased using Amazon's iOS app, and (other than briefly), Amazon hasn't sold the Apple TV since 2015. "And they're going to return it".
