TVS Apache RR 310 launched in India; Price, specs and more

TVS Apache RR 310 is another step in our effort to deliver beyond customers' expectations and offering them a chance to upgrade from premium to super-premium category. It is powered by the same engine that powers the BMW G 310 R. The deliveries for the new bike are set to begin by the end of this year.

During the launch, a TVS spokesperson said that a RR 310 race series, called the RR Cup, will be launched to encourage RR 310 to take the bike to the limit in the safety of a racetrack. The company claims the design of RR 310 is functional which undergone about 300 hours worth of wind tunnel testing. The fuel tank flaunts the TVS horse logo in a bold silver finish on either side.

Under the hood, the new TVS Apache RR 310 will be using the same powerplant engine that is used for the worldwide BMW G310R. Power is 34ps @ 9700rpm and 27.2Nm of torque @ 7700 rpm with a top speed of 160kph. The transmission duties would be done by a 6-speed gearbox.

The front sprocket size has been altered from 16 teeth on the BMW to 17 teeth on the Apache. The TVS Apache RR 310 is the latest offering from the TVS Apache stable, is launched at Rs 2.05 lakh (ex-showroom).

A high performance engine breathing through a forced air fed air box gives the engine of TVS Apache RR 310 a high rev peak capability.

With a wheelbase of 1,365mm and a ride height of 810mm, the riding position isn't as demanding as it is made out to be.

Being the flagship model of TVS, the Apache RR 310 will get some fantastic goodies like a dual LED projector headlamps cluster, fully-digital instrumentation, upside down front fork, big mono-shock rear suspension and a big fairing covering the entire front portion. The ground clearance is also decent at 180mm. The Apache RR 310's 17-inch front and rear wheels are shod with 110/70 and 150/60 Michelin Pilot Street tyres. Dual-channel ABS comes as standard.
