United States flight makes emergency bathroom stop

It's about six hours from NY to Seattle via plane, which was too long, recently, for a Delta 757 that had to make an emergency stop in Billings on Saturday night.

It came after the Boeing 757's toilets had stopped working and passengers were queuing up and indicating they needed the toilet, according to an incident report published on AeroInside.

We've all been there: Needing to "go really bad", without a toilet in sight.

The aircraft then taxied on the runway as there were "passengers that needed to find a lavatory very urgently", the report stated. That meant there was no way for everyone to "find relief of built up pressures", the report said.

To minimize the inconvenience to the public, some departments would try and do business on paper until the problem gets resolved. At that time, Chaney said the county has fallen victim to six ransomware attacks in her 13 years on the job here.

Flights do get diverted to Billings Logan International Airport occasionally, but not normally to answer the call of nature.

Kevin Ploehn, the Billings director of aviation and transit, said passengers were escorted into the terminal where they could go to the bathroom and wait while the plane's toilets were serviced.

On a good day, the coast-to-coast flight can take about six hours.

So... the pilots took the plane to a cargo area, a rolling staircase was brought out, and you can bet they deplaned faster than any other travelers ever - not including disaster and hijacking movies. "That can't be very pleasant".
