David Cassidy Has Left His Daughter Katie Out of His Will

They grew closer as Katie pursued a career in Hollywood, with David serving as more of a friend than a father, and in 2009, he opened up about their unique relationship to People magazine, saying, "Because I didn't raise her, I didn't have to parent her".

"I'm proud of her". Katie Cassidy, 31, is David Cassidy's daughter from a relationship with model Sherry Williams. Prior to his death, he finalized his will, and The Blast managed to obtain copies of the document.

David Cassidy, who became a teen heartthrob playing Keith on the 1970-1974 ABC musical sitcom about band "The Partridge Family", died of liver and kidney failure on November 21 following years of substance abuse and, he revealed earlier this year, dementia.

Cassidy drifted in and out of his daughter's life and by February of this year, they were reportedly not on speaking terms.

In June, the "Arrow" actress announced her engagement to boyfriend Matthew Rodgers during a romantic getaway to African island Mauritius.

He went on to call son Beau "one of the best people you'll ever meet" and said he was a big help in the early stages of his dementia diagnosis.

Ed Sheeran awarded MBE
Sheeran said he didn't think he had a "vast amount of talent compared to other people", calling his success "persistence". No doubt about it: Ed Sheeran is on top of the world.

In the documents, David wrote: 'It is my specific intent not to provide any benefits hereunder to Katherine Evelyn Cassidy'.

He said, however, that he was proud of her achievements as an actor. His three half-siblings, however, will receive anything that classifies as "music memorabilia". Originally it named his then-wife Susan as personal representative, but the role fell to his cousin following their 2016 divorce. "'It's hard for me to even accept how old she is now, like 30".

"My father's last words were 'So much wasted time, '" she tweeted after he died last month.

As of late, Katie has not yet commented regarding her dad's decision to leave her out of his will.

His last will and testament, which was filed in 2004, specifically requested that his various assets ― about $150,000 ― be given to his son, Beau, a musician who is now 26 years old. Katie and Cassidy were last pictured together at a red carpet event in 2007.
