Xiaomi launched the Mi A1 smartphone in September this year.
After finding Mi 6 testers for Android O based on China Alpha ROM, the Chinese technology giant has now announced that the Xiaomi Mi A1 can take part in stock Android 8.0 Oreo beta test programme irrespective of your location. Notably, the company is inviting users from all over the world for this beta testing program.
Xiaomi Mi A1 users need to provide some information via the MIUI Global Forum app and use QQ for communication. Head over to the forum to apply before 23:59 PM on December 11 (Beijing Time).
The Mi A1 is powered by almost stock Android 7.1 Nougat, and Xiaomi has promised an Oreo update before the end of the year. Android 8.0 aka Android Oreo updates slew of updates to the phone like two times faster boot speed when powering up, AutoFill, picture-in -picture mode, Android instant apps, notification dots, redesigned emoji set and more. And those selected for the test will be announced on the MIUI global forum. Before you enroll for Beta testing, be mindful that Beta builds are unstable and prone to occasional bugs and crashes. It is the company's first Android one phone and has received several updates like the security patches and OTA firmware since its launch.

However, Napoli and Shakhtar Donetsk are still fighting it out for the other place in the knockout stages of the competition. The draw for the round of 16 takes place at UEFA's headquarters in Nyom in Switzerland on Monday.
To recall, the Xiaomi Mi A1 is a stock Android phone from Xiaomi and runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat out-of-the-box.
The device features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display bearing full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. A 5MP front-facing camera is there for selfies and video calling. The phone is available in gold and black, and comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage space (it doesn't look like the offer will extend to that sweet rose gold model, though).
Running Android 7.1.2 Nougat, the Xiaomi Mi A1 is upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo if you enroll for beta testing.
