Nissan to test their self-driving auto service in Japan 2018

Nissan Motor Company is expected to roll out its self-driving cars by 2o22. The auto giant and Japanese mobile game company DeNA have jointly developed the new driverless vehicle services, dubbed Easy Ride. That's a trip many of us would like to take but only a select few can experience through Nissan's public field test of new robo-vehicle mobility service, Easy Ride.

Nissan plan to have this service up and running in Yokohama by at least 2020, hoping for a completion of everything to pick-up and drop-off via mobile payment to having the option of taking the scenic route to your destination. This test will be a relatively short one and is expected to span two weeks from the 5th of March, 2018 until the 18th of March, 2018 where it will be conducted in the Minatomirai district of Yokohama, Japan.

Tech Crunch reports that the carmaker is working with Japanese software maker DeNA to create the autonomous ride-hailing service which will be trialled on Japanese Roads. Customers can use a mobile app to complete the total process ranging from setting destinations and mobilizing vehicles to pay the fee. Only time will tell whether there is any genuine cause for alarm in these trials, but Easy Ride will be monitored remotely, and support multiple languages for tourists in an effort to keep every user safe.
