Champions League Last-16 Teams Confirmed

It's the first time since 2006-07 that England advanced four teams as group winners.

Since the Champions League reverted back to a one group stage format for the 2003-04 season, the Premier League has been allocated four Champions League places, but only on six occasions in the previous 14 years has a full complement of English teams succeeded in qualifying for the next stage.

Captain Gary Cahill has admitted Chelsea would rather avoid Barcelona and Paris St Germain in the first knock-out round of the Champions League.

Chelsea have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons to dominate the English top flight.

Bayern Munich: Barcelona, Besiktas, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Roma, Tottenham Hotspur.

If Liverpool do secure top spot that makes things even trickier for Chelsea.

A tie against either Sevilla or Shakhtar Donetsk might not exactly be the worst either, but could prove to be a potential banana skin for the twenty-time English champions.

Accordingly, both the sides are aware of the club they could potentially be up against in the final 16.

As of today, Barcelona's most likely opponent in the last 16 stage of the Champions League it's Chelsea. Why?
