In London hosted one of the main events of the year for the British diplomatic community, the private gala reception at Buckingham Palace, which every year arranges the Queen Elizabeth II.

For the occasion, the Duchess of Cambridge wore the Queen Mary's Lover's Knot tiara.

Diana was given the Lover's Knot Tiara as a wedding gift from the Queen, and it has a fascinating royal history. She returned it to the Crown upon divorcing Prince Charles, and it remained unseen until Kate brought it out for a diplomatic event in 2015.

Kate Middleton was recently spotted wearing one of Princess Diana's favorite tiaras. Camilla was snapped wearing the late Queen Mother's Greville tiara, which was named after a socialite who gifted it to her in 1921.
