Sango was abducted alongside a one-time factional state Chairman of the PDP in Pateau State, Emmanuel Mangni.

"The family spoke with him and he assured them that he is safe". From what they demanded, we are waiting to see whether they will come down from tomorrow. I woke up this morning with a lot of missed calls and when I called his personal assistant, he broke the news that Chairman was kidnapped on his way to Abuja. It was the security operatives that told the family that their breadwinner had been kidnapped because the auto that was abandoned drew the attention of the security operatives.

Earlier on Thursday, Aliyu Mukhtar, spokesman of the Kaduna command, told TheCable that the police received a distress call around 6pm on Wednesday.

"On reaching the vehicle, they found a telephone belonging to his son in the auto". We want to know if they (abductees) are alive and in good condition.
