Although PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds has become something of a worldwide phenomenon, gamers everywhere are undoubtedly exhausted of experiencing the same Russian landscape time and time again.

During tonight's broadcast of The Game Awards, the first gameplay video of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds' upcoming new desert map (called Miramar) was shown, giving viewers a much closer look at the game's second map.

In addition to this, developer PUBG Corp is adding Miramar. When we made a decision to create a new map, we focused on creating an environment that is very different from Erangel. The map will also feature unique vehicles like an off-roading pickup truck.

Miramar is a new desert map, where we'll see denser urban areas and cities far larger than what we've seen in the current map Erangel. Do note, that this map will be free to all players.
