Wenger declares Walcott has Arsenal future

However, with Walcott's place at Arsenal now more unclear than ever before, rumours have emerged over the last couple of days that West Ham are ready to reignite their chase of the experienced wide-man upon the opening of the winter transfer window in January.

The Gunners have seen Alexandre Lacazette thrive this season, and with Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez still at the club despite their expiring contracts, Walcott has barely featured this season.

The latter left Everton to join Manchester United in the summer, and the failure to replace him doomed the tenure of Ronald Koeman, who was sacked in October.

In fact, the 28-year-old has yet to start a Premier League game this season, making just three substitute appearances to a total of 47 minutes in what has been a awful campaign for the forward.

The likes of Everton and Southampton have been linked with January moves for the 28-year-old but Wenger is adamant that he does have a future at Emirates Stadium. The swift attacker has recently been told by manager Arsene Wenger he can leave the Gunners in January, according to Daniel Cutts of The Sun.

IN was averaging 108.9 points per game coming into the night, fourth-best in the National Basketball Association . IN shot just 39 percent from the floor and turned the ball over eight times before the break.

An inability to produce goals and assists consistently, along with not having an obvious place in Arsenal's 3-4-2-1 formation, has led to Walcott's declining status in north London, per ESPN FC's Tom Adams.

With Everton struggling for firepower so far this season, Walcott could provide the Toffees with a few more options up front.

The likes of Southampton, West Ham, Newcastle, Everton and even Italian giants Inter Milan and Juventus were touted as potential destinations for the 47-time capped English worldwide, but, in the end, a move failed to materialise.
