Dark Souls Remastered will not be using new assets

Yesterday, we learned that FromSoftware's iconic title, Dark Souls would be receiving an upgrade for current-gen consoles, due out May 25th.

Dark Souls Remastered is the latest in the trend of critically acclaimed remastered games.

This comes after a leak earlier today that seemed to suggest the game was also coming to PS4.

Q2 2018 EPS Estimates for Accenture Plc Increased by Analyst
KeyCorp reiterated a buy rating and issued a $149.00 price target on shares of Accenture in a report on Thursday, September 28th. The institutional investor owned 110,033 shares of the company's stock after buying an additional 410 shares during the period.

Nintendo Direct confirmed the rumor that the original Dark Souls was being remastered. In a surprise move, the game was also announced to be released on the Nintendo Switch. The series came to an end a year ago.

The teaser trailer for Dark Souls Remastered was frustratingly brief and didn't offer a good look at the updated gameplay. The box set will include all three Dark Souls games, each respective game's soundtrack, framed art, Dark Souls' themed bookends, and three dictionaries containing the entirety of Dark Souls' item list. Dark Souls: Remastered for Switch will mark the first time the franchise will appear on a Nintendo console (and the series' first portable entry). While PC, PS4 Pro, and Xbox One X players will be able to enjoy 4K, the Switch will run at 1080p and 30fps in docked mode, and likely a lower resolution when in portable mode.

We understand that this news is a lot to take in because fans of the franchise (like me), have been asking for remaster/remake of the first Dark Souls and Demon Souls for quite some time, even though the PC community has enough graphical mods to make Dark Souls 1 look incredible, console gamers want to relive the glorious world of Lordran in update textures and higher resolution/textures.
