Seahawks Likely to Hire Coach Brian Schottenheimer as New Offensive Coordinator

Schottenheimer's offenses have struggled in the past, but he spent most of his tenure at NY with Mark Sanchez as his quarterback. He spent the last seven seasons heading up the Seattle offense.

The Seattle Seahawks will hire Brian Schottenheimer as their new offensive coordinator, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

The addition of Schottenheimer is the latest change to Seattle's offensive staff, following the firing of former offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and offensive line coach Tom Cable earlier this week. He also held that job with the Rams back from 2012 to 2014.

Schottenheimer is the son of Marty Schottenheimer, who was the head coach for most notably the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns.

The son of former National Football League head coach Marty Schottenheimer, Brian earned his first National Football League coaching job in 1997, serving as an assistant for the St. Louis Rams.

South Korea's Defence Ministry has said it had yet to see any evidence of an imminent missile launch. His statement was followed by the move for North-South talks, and then the suspension of the U.S.

The second-generation coach also worked as the University of Georgia's offensive coordinator in 2015. The Rams finished 23rd, 30th and 28th under Schottenheimer, but quarterback Sam Bradford missed 25 games during that stretch because of two ACL injuries.

For his sake, Schottenheimer best hope his Seahawks offense performs better than his Jets teams.

Particularly problematic with Seattle's offense has been the deterioration of the running game, which had been coordinated by Cable.

This past season, Seattle ranked 15th in total offense, with quarterback Russell Wilson leading the team in passing and rushing. Jeremy Bates was sacked after one season in that role, leading to Bevell's hiring in 2011.
