Tottenham Hotspur v Everton Match Report, 13/01/2018

Harry Kane continued his rich scoring streak by netting twice in Tottenham Hotspur's 4-0 win over Everton at Wembley as Mauricio Pochettino's side made up ground on third-placed Chelsea who shared a goalless draw with 10-man Leicester City.

Kane's latest record comes after a stellar 2017 that saw the 24-year-old set a new record of 39 Premier League goals scored in a calendar year, beating the 36 that Alan Shearer managed in 1995.

Kane has scored 18 goals in 21 games in the Premier League this season to help keep Mauricio Pochettino's men involved in the top-four race.

Goals from Son Heung-min, Christian Eriksen and a brace from Harry Kane - which saw him become Spurs' all time Premier League leading goalscorer - succumbed the Toffees to a defeat which saw them worryingly unable to record a shot on target.

However, Everton have lost their last two games and face a daunting visit to Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening to face Tottenham Hotspur and it is expected that Tosun will make his debut in this one.

"In this way he's going to break all the records in the Premier League and England".

However, Son accepts trying to match Kane is a futile task.

"He can do anything because of his mentality and how professional he is".

7News gets inside look at Brightline train
Despite Treasure Coast opposition, Brightline said it will begin work on the project's second phase as early as this month. The Martin County Commission on Tuesday voted unanimously to renew two of its legal challenges, spending up to $350,000.

Rooney had the ball in the back of the net six minutes later when he headed home Cenk Tosun's flick at close range, but the offside flag cut short his celebrations. He can achieve all he wishes and he wants.

Nothing, though, went the way of Everton manager Sam Allardyce, who ended up lambasting his side afterwards.

The Turkey worldwide striker signed for the Merseysiders for £27million from Besiktas on Friday after scoring an impressive 14 goals in just 24 games in all competitions this term. "I should have gone back to being a bit more boring", Allardyce said.

This was Son's 40 goal in 117 appearances for Spurs which is outstanding.

As well as Son and Kane, Alli also proved a constant pain to the Everton midfield and defence.

In a odd game that ebbed and flowed, Wayne Rooney had the first chance after a quiet opening, with the striker latching onto a long kick from Jordan Pickford and dragging a left-footed shot wide of the right post from inside the area on 16 minutes.

And of course, let's not forget he matched his own record on Saturday, scoring in five successive home Premier League games and will be hoping to surpass this against Manchester United in a few weeks' time (January 31).
