Pep Guardiola set for Man City talks over Alexis Sanchez deal

Liverpool condemned Manchester City to their first Premier League defeat of the season on Sunday (Jan 14) while Alexis Sanchez neared the exit door as Arsenal slipped to a damaging defeat at struggling Bournemouth.

British media have reported that United are attempting to bring Chilean Sanchez, a long-term target of rivals Manchester City, to the club during the January transfer window - six months before his contract at Arsenal runs out.

Wenger had already admitted that wouldn't be for long, however, and confirmed that he left Sanchez out of Arsenal's match-day squad for the trip to Bournemouth because he is so close to leaving.

However, manager, Arsene Wenger, said before the game that a decision on his future was "imminent".

Wenger confirms that Sanchez's future will be decided in the next 48 hours.

City have been chasing Sanchez since the summer, although there have been reports over recent days that they are unwilling to meet the £35million asking price.

The mission marked the first Falcon 9 launch for SpaceX of 2018 following a record year in 2017 that saw 18 successful launches. The mission, only known as Zuma, was set for Thursday, pushed back to Friday and then again into the weekend.

When there's a big story brewing, like that of Malcom's potential transfer to Arsenal (if Alexis Sanchez leaves for one of the Manchester clubs), it's always good to see what the local newspapers have to say. "I think if you look again at the second goal we made many mistakes and that is what we paid for". If he goes, we have to respond. I do not know, but at the moment it's the transfer period and in this kind of period you try to use the players that are completely focused at being at the club.

"If Sánchez goes, we need to replace him. I didn't want to come down with him here travelling away from the team".

Wenger insists all options remain open but felt unable to select the player for the visit to the Vitality Stadium although he insisted Sanchez was willing to play.

It certainly looked as if Mkhitaryan was on his way out of Old Trafford after he failed to even make the bench for Monday's Premier League game at home to Stoke City. I don't know anything about it. "He did not refuse to play", Arsene said. He would have played but it's a hard period for him. "That's why I didn't want to travel with him today for him to go somewhere else".

Seriously though, can we just get this deal done one way or another please?
