Philippe Coutinho's Barcelona home burgled

It's been a grim week for Philippe Coutinho according to the Catalan press, with the Barcelona midfielder reportedly having his vehicle towed and house burgled in quick succession.

Coutinho did not travel with the squad to London for their Champions League clash at Chelsea as he was Cup-tied after his commitments with Liverpool.

It completed a miserable day for the former Inter and Liverpool playmaker, who had earlier that day seen his Audi vehicle towed away by the authorities.

The Brazilian playmaker and his family are expected to have returned to their home at 1.30am local time following a gathering for dinner, according to Diario Sport. The police were called and analysed the house for clues, with their investigation ongoing.

Astros pitching prospect Forrest Whitley suspended for violating drug program
Luhnow would not address specifics of the violation though Whitley is expected to release a statement in the coming days. Generally, if it's a "drug of abuse" suspension (such as marijuana) or a PED, the league says so.

No details have been released as to what was stolen from the midfielders house but apparently renovation work on a connecting stairway ensured an easy access for the thieves.

The Brazil global moved to Barcelona from Liverpool in January for a club-record £146m fee and has since made seven appearances in the league and cup, scoring on one occasion.

The 25-year-old chose to remain in Spain as he is ineligible to compete in the knockout rounds because he played for Liverpool in the group stages.
