Ryan Shazier Plans To Play Again

"I'm still reaching for that Hall of Fame because I really feel I'm the best linebacker ever", Shazier said on the podcast.

The Pittsburgh Steelers player spoke on teammate Roosevelt Nix's podcast, which was uploaded Tuesday. I'm really trusting the process and I know the end goal.

It is awesome news to hear that Shazier is progressing so quickly from the spinal cord injury he suffered against the Cincinnati Bengals last season. I'm giving everything I got.

"Right now I'm reading a book and it's basically saying trust the process", Shazier said. "You can't frame a video [.] Ben wasn't really holding me up [in the Instagram photo]". I'm taking it every step of the way but I'm like, I'm giving it like my football effort, like 1,000, everything I've got.

Major Analyst Actions Under Review: Exxon Mobil Corporation (XOM), Synchrony Financial (SYF)
Dubuque Bank Trust has invested 0.96% in Exxon Mobil Corporation (NYSE: XOM ). 79 funds opened positions while 325 raised stakes. Kentucky Retirement Systems Insurance Trust Fund sold 2,232 shares as the company's stock rose 10.88% with the market.

Shazier hit Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Josh Malone low with his shoulder pads, then immediately reached for his back while his legs remained motionless during a game on December 4. Shazier told Nix he has a larger appreciation for people in wheelchairs since his injury. "The therapists are like, 'This is insane.' They said they are happy to be working with an athlete because they've never seen someone work so hard".

"They say like some progressions they see week-to-week, they see from me day-to-day". I'm really trying to come back and still be a Pro Bowler. As reported by USA Today, the 25-year-old subsequently told his father he could not feel his legs and underwent spinal stabilization surgery three days later, remaining hospitalized for several days.

Ryan Shazier said his days of playing football aren't over as he continues to rehab following a severe spinal injury he suffered in December.

Despite not playing most of the final month of the season, Shazier was voted to his second Pro Bowl in four National Football League seasons after recording 68 tackles, three interceptions and a career-best 10 passes defended. Shazier posted a picture of himself standing next to Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger on that day.
