Storylines You Can Expect to See During This Is Us Season 3

The series has also taken what easily could have been a exhausted subplot, involving Randall's foster child Deja (Lyric Ross), and in the last few episodes broadened that into something more resonant than clichéd, while presenting Randall with a parenting challenge that, as is so often true on the show, ties into his past while simultaneously hinting at his future. This series has done a attractive job of laying that foundation already-and unlike Randall's foray into construction, this work is reliable. There's this humor between them where Madison is kind of kooky sometimes but Kate appreciates that and it allows her to be kooky herself.

If only they hadn't made us so anxious first.

So, here are 5 things to know going into the episode.

But all of that is yet to come.

Beyond that, we can guess that there will probably be some last minute bumps in the road for Toby and Kate. Specifically: Future Beth seems to be in danger, and the issue of what, exactly, will happen to her might replace "how did Jack die?" as the central question driving the series. By the time we pick up the action, she's already signed away her parental rights, and Deja is more sullen and angry than ever.

"We didn't know what was going on with it".

Instagram & Snapchat's Giphy Feature Was Disabled After Racist GIF
The move was rightfully made after a user typed in the word "crime" and a GIF with the N-word appeared with a monkey next to it. TechCrunch broke the news on Instagram building a similar Giphy integration in late January, which launched a week later.

-Ten years from now, we see an older Tess and Randall, the latter who cryptically tells his daughter, "It's time to go see her, Tess", to which she responds, "I'm not ready". "He's the one that she lost, and I'm the one that she got stuck with", Rebecca tells Miguel. They were family to him long before they literally became family. Kevin meets Beth's handsome, smart and wise cousin Zoe at Kate and Toby's wedding. "When we saw them jump into adult Tess and older Randall, that was where he always wanted to go", he said. That should make family gatherings interesting.

Some fans think that the "her" that they are going to see could be Beth in the grave, Deja in jail, or someone in the hospital. Following the Super Bowl episode, Ventimiglia said that that while his character would not be moving forward in the show's timeline, his past would continue to be explored on the show, including his relationship with his brother. See who?! Beth? Deja? The first steps were made tonight, but there is much work yet to be done to help Deja process her emotions. On their way, they both realize they should have been there more for Kate over the years.

When one Jack mystery is solved, another one surfaces on This Is Us. "So much of season two was about Jack's death and the details of how he died and what happened, so we're excited to now be able to delve into chapters of his life that we haven't yet explored, and just get to know the man better and get to know things about him that even his kids don't know yet, and possibly even his wife doesn't know yet". She pulls out Jack's urn and spreads the remainder of his ashes, explaining that she needs to make room in her heart for Toby.

There were small clues over the course of the episode that all of the moments shared between Jack and Rebecca were figments of someone's imagination, and it made the most sense that it would be Kate, as she likely still harbors lingering guilt over playing a small role in Jack's death.

It's up to Randall and Kevin - the designated wedding planners - to get things back on track. Because we were shooting it at the family cabin, I was like, 'Oh dear, we can't have such a long train because it's dirty out there!' So we did have a bit of a train and they did something really handsome where they bustled the train a bit, and ended up shortening it, but the dress was actually really heavy because it's beaded and handmade and couture, literally hand made. Like the characters, we've found ourselves struggling to reconcile with a present that he's not a part of.
