A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo - Audiobook

So, Oliver and his team made a decision to preempt the release of Marlon Bundo's book by another book about Marlon Bundo.

"Marlon Bundo's A Day In The Life Of The Vice President" is a rhyming story book, written by Vice President Mike Pence's daughter Charlotte and illustrated by his wife Karen, an award-winning water-color painter. "You'd be doing a nice thing in a really dickish way", he said. It's an explicit response to Pence's record on LGBTQ rights.

Since Pence is notoriously hostile to LBGTQ rights, the gay Bundo is harassed by a stink bug that looks suspiciously like the vice president.

"It's unfortunate that anyone would feel the need to ridicule an educational children's book and turn it into something controversial and partisan", Regnery writes in an emailed statement.

Oliver said proceeds from his book will go toward AIDS United, a group dedicated to ending the AIDS epidemic in the US, and the Trevor Project, a suicide prevention organization that provides support to young members of the LGBT community. At the time of this writing, there are 739 reviews for Oliver's book and they're overwhelmingly positive-but only a quarter are marked as genuine purchases of the book, suggesting that people who haven't read the book are coming to the page to shower it with good ratings. In the book, the family's pet rabbit travels around Washington, D.C., as "Grampa" Pence goes about his official duties.

Among other late-night hosts, ABC's Jimmy Kimmel offered a short on-air spoof previous year of the Pences' Marlon Bundo book.

Proceeds of Pence's book will be donated to Tracy's Kids, an art therapy program, and A21, a charity which aims to end sex trafficking.

The audio version of the book - available from Amazon's Audible - features voice narration from Jim Parsons with characters voiced by Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jeff Garlin, Ellie Kemper, John Lithgow, Jack McBrayer and RuPaul.

The parody version of the book was the No.1 bestseller on Amazon.com Monday morning.
