Durant's big game leads Warriors past Thunder

The Warriors (56-21) will try to avoid losing the season series to the Thunder (45-33), who have beaten Golden State twice before being routed 112-80 in Oakland on February 24.

The Golden State Warriors traveled to the Chesapeake Energy Arena in downtown Oklahoma City on Tuesday night to play out the final game of their regular season four-game series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Of course, the rivalry between the two teams has heated up since Kevin Durant left the Thunder to join the Warriors almost two years ago. Russell Westbrook was outstanding in the win for OKC, notching a triple-double with 26 points, 15 rebounds and 13 assists.

Zaza Pachulia is set to start at center against Steven Adams and the Thunder.

A former pupil at Methodist College Belfast, he attended the high profile trial of his Ulster teammates. Two other men who were also on trial were also found not guilty in connection with the incident.

Quinn Cook followed up a great season in the G League with yet another impeccable display, becoming the first player in the league's 17-year history to shoot at least 50 percent from the floor, 40 percent from three and 90 percent from the free-throw line throughout the season.

Westbrook and Paul George accounted for most of the Thunder's scoring, with Westbrook's 44 including three three-pointers.

Carmelo Anthony continued an apparent decline, scoring just 12 points on 4-16 from the field, including 0-9 from three point range. They would play the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round of the playoffs as things stand.
