Man United played loud music to spite Man City after derby win

A week after an inspiring comeback win against Manchester City, Manchester United fell to a 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford against bottom club West Bromwich Albion on Sunday and manager Jose Mourinho said such inconsistency needed to change if they were to challenge their neighbours next season.

Manchester City have already won more points from their 33 league games this season (87) than 11 of the previous Premier League champions had won at the end of their title-winning campaign - this includes their last title win in 2013-14 (86).

City manager Pep Guardiola might have rubbed his eyes in disbelief at events at Old Trafford when he returned from his round of golf with his son.

While they missed out narrowly on that particular record, here are some of the best Opta numbers from City's special Premier League season.

"We've won the league for you, Man City, Man City", West Brom's fans chanted after the final whistle.

Jose Mourinho slammed Pogba and his team-mates after the game, insisting they preferred to show off rather than play any real football. But having surrendered leads to United and Liverpool in the previous seven days, the visitors could have stumbled once more when Christian Eriksen brought Spurs back into the game before the break. Everything was slow. Everyone was one more touch, one more trick, one more flick, one more turn.

I had a feeling when I woke up this morning but it's a different experience when you're waiting for a team to lose.

Sydney bushfire downgraded to 'Advice' level
On Sunday, more than 500 firefighters in nearly 100 fire trucks, along with 15 aircraft, battled the blaze throughout the day. The RFS said there was very little rain forecast over the next few days across the fire ground and most parts of the state.

This shouldn't shadow what has been a fantastic season for City, with many fantastic wins helping them on their way to the title.

"If we focus all of our energy into the next match, I'm sure it'll look after itself".

16 - With their victory at Wembley - and United's loss to West Brom - City are 16 points clear at the top and chasing down the Premier League's largest title-winning margin of 18, which was set by the Red Devils in 1999-00.

"If I was them I would be very disappointed if people said they won because West Brom beat Man United". 'We were masters in complication.

"These players deserve all my respect because they have been unbelievable all season".

The 2012 title win had the infamous last-gasp goal by Sergio Aguero. "One of the things we have to improve is our consistency".
