Baltimore Ravens Are Interested In Signing Dez Bryant

Bryant immediately deflected blame for Dallas' decision to release him, suggesting prominent players were behind it.

After being released by the Cowboys on Friday, Bryant said he hoped to join another NFC East team and have a chance to exact revenge against Dallas twice per season.

While Bryant could be affirming Burleson's belief that Bryant wants to play somewhere like the Giants where he would play with other great wide receivers, the far more likely reality is that Bryant is acknowledging that cooler heads must prevail, and that his desire to stay in the NFC East is an emotional one that needs to be reconsidered. But he may have found a suitor in the AFC.

The Baltimore Sun's Jeff Zrebiec reports the team is interested in bringing aboard the wide receiver.

KTLA-5 reported six people were arrested and its anticipated they'll face a charge of "trademark violations of major brands". When their lab tested the contents, they discovered the products were full of shit - figuratively and literally.

The Ravens have already added a pair of wideouts this offseason, signing ex-Oakland Raider Michael Crabtree to a three-year, $21 million deal and bringing in former Arizona Cardinal John Brown.

The Ravens might be able to spare Bryant from a wandering quest for employment by acting quickly on their desires and convincing him Baltimore is a worthy stage for the second act of his National Football League career. He's not going to make that much money in Baltimore, who have a bit more than $10 million in cap space to work with, and that's before their draft picks come in. Last year, he caught 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns.

Maybe a change of quarterback and environment would do him some good, but it would be unwise to expect a Pro Bowl level player at this point of his career, which is why he won't be paid like one anymore too. Seeing the Rams quickly become an attractive team for players to join with their increased odds to win the Super Bowl has been truly incredible to witness, but when it comes to Dez Bryant, this is a move that seems unnecessary to even consider.
