Blue Screen of Death Delays Windows 10 Update

Blue Screen of Death Delays Windows 10 Update

The twice-yearly update was expected on 10 April and although Microsoft hasn't officially named it yet, it's generally being referred to as the "Windows 10 Spring Creators Update".

You can still download and install the Windows 10 Spring Creators Update early and, if you have, there's good news.

Rumors started to spread quickly after journalists with sources inside Microsoft started to claim that Microsoft delayed the release. However, a blocking bug was discovered that delayed the release to the public nearly at the last minute. The company said that the build carries no new features and only brings fixes for some issues. In certain cases, these reliability issues could have led to a higher percentage of (BSOD) on PCs for example.

Supremo of the Windows Insider programme, Dona Sarkar, dropped a hint last night as to what might have occurred with the release of build 17134 to the courageous soldiers on the Fast ring. Instead of creating a Cumulative Update package to service these issues, we made a decision to create a new build with the fixes included. On the very day, though, rumours spread of a serious last-minute show-stopping bug that had caused Microsoft to pull the release, and a week on the company has confirmed that is indeed the case while simultaneously downplaying its severity.

Billionaire Republican Donor Will Fund Democrats 'For the Good of the Country'
Our leaders, Democratic and Republican, need to work together once again for the good of the people they are elected to serve. Recent polls have found conflicting evidence of whether voters are gearing up to produce a wave that would favor Democrats.

Microsoft has come to rely on Windows Insiders to act as canaries for the operating system.

Despite this, the next major Windows 10 update will include features such as Timeline, HDR support, dictation, and Fluent Design. Windows customers don't lose anything as they may continue to use the version of Windows 10 that is installed on their devices.

Even this close to the final release, don't install this on your production machine.
