Leafs forward Leo Komarov to miss Game 3 against Boston

And last night they used some of that home cooking Monday night to beat the Bruins in Game 3, 4-2, and get themselves back into this first-round series.

Next to nothing has gone right for the Maple Leafs.

You can't win them all.

Donato skated just 9:24 in Game 2, registering no points with three shots on net.

Minnesota wasn't outplayed as badly on the road as Toronto was, but the night and day difference between the Wild at home compared to on the road is something the Maple Leafs can use as motivation. The Bruins were rattling shots off the post and it seemed like the net was on lockdown. All in all, it was a much better start than Games 1 and 2, as they were already outshooting the Bruins 6-1 by the eight-minute mark.

Pastrnak would have another opportunity with one minute left on the power play, but Toronto goaltender Frederik Andersen made the save. His teammates were feeding him the puck, but he was unable to get it past Andersen. They will be tasked with matching up against Boston's high-scoring trio of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and David Pastrnak.

At the same time, it just wasn't the Bruins' night! It was the defense.

A suspect has been arrested in connection with more than 10 other robberies in the Greater Portland area since March 20th. The residents told police they were able to ID McCray, because his bandanna did not fully cover his face, HPD reported.

The win not only guarantees Toronto a return trip back to Boston for a Game 5, they will get second line center Nazem Kadri back for at least a game.

Plekanec has confidence that he can draw on some of the success he's had against the Bruins over the years and use that to help the Leafs slow Boston's attack down and gain some momentum as the series shifts back to Toronto.

However, the puck touched the glass before entering the crowd, which would negate the minor penalty, and the four officials missed making the right call, sending Nash to the box at 16:58 of the first period. By comparison, Boston's top line is outscoring the Maple Leafs' top line by 18 points and unless Matthews and Nylander can find their game in Toronto this series might not make it back to Boston.

McQuaid had a great game scoring his first goal of the playoffs. The Bruins were lucky to head to the dressing room down only one. Especially after a rough game.

Matt Grzelcyk looks "doubtful" for this game, meaning Nick Holden will likely slide in on a third pairing with Adam McQuaid.

The good thing for the B's is that they get to lick their wounds as they get a short break.

Matthews sniped a shot past Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask to give the Leafs a 3-2 lead in the second period. The goal, at 17:05 of the first, gave the Leafs their first lead of the series ... The young guns need to be able to relax and not be forcing plays. Nikita Kucherov added two assists, and Andrei Vasilevskiy made 36 saves in the game that had a major scrum with 23 seconds to go.
